Today, we asked our students to write about a fellow student of theirs whom they didn´t know before but get on very well with during their stay in Belfast. Some teachers entered the activity as well... Let´s share their writings!
His name is Jim. He lives in Thessaloniki. He loves music and he says that he´s very strong!!! He is sixteen. His brother is Marios. His school is Vasileiadis High. He was my first friend here. We are in the same family. He is very funny and he speaks English very well. He is Greek.
Fernando
I am going to write about Aggeliki. She is a wonderful person. She is 15 years old and lives in Thessaloniki. She plays the drums and the piano very well. She doesn´t like vegetables and her favourite colours are black and purple. She hasn´t got any pets.
Jorge
Alberto! This guy is TALL! When you reach my age you´ll be two times taller than Big John. Plus you play great basketball and it seems you´re pretty good at maths as well. Great to meet ya!!!
Greg
I´m getting to write about Gogo! She is a kind and really funny person. She plays the guitar and the piano and dances REALLY WELL!!! I won´t forget the day we danced ''Wanna be''!!! She loves the sun but hates yellow and she doesn´t like vegetables but she likes potatoes. It doesn´t make sense!!! but believe me she is a wonderful person! I laughed a lot when she took her imaginary gift and the box was empty!!!
Albert
Greg... What can I say??? Awizard genius of chess who defeated both of us (Big John, Young John), one after the other! (We used to think we were good...) But Greg is much more than just a pretty brain: A natural at dodge ball and touch rugby; a true greek athlete; witty; clever and creative; fun at all the theatre games he plays; a musician and apprentice juggler: the arts flow in his bones... Greg... much more than just a pretty brain, a true renaissance man we are glad to know! If he beats us at chess again though, unfortunately, we will have to break his legs!
Big John
Jorge is a thirteen years old boy who lives in Abilla, Spain. He is going to the Jothessano school and he is a member of A.C. Milan team in Spain. He has two dogs and he likes padel. His favoutite team is Real Madrit. He has two brothers. He is a very good kid and I like him!
Jim
I like my friend Big John. His face smells like chicken soup. I like chicken soup. He can do almost anything, with a smile so big it could stop a train. He draws like a young Da Vinci with a broken finger. He is so funny, my ears explode when I hear him. He is so much fun to play with, but he is very competitive. One time he broke my arm... just playing cards. I like my friend Big John! The end.
Young John
Something about Albert... hmm... OK. Albert is a fourteen year old spanish boy who came to Belfast for the course and here is where I first met him. He is a really interesting boy who likes reading, swimming and knows many things, as I have understood all these days we are here. He also loves chocolate as he said! Albert goes to school in Spain and he is Carlo´s classmate. I don´t know much about him, but I know he hates snakes (!!!), he has a little brother who is eleven years old, he likes outgoing people and he is kind and shy. He seems to be very sweet. He is always polite and gentle. Albert is in the ''Heaneys family''. I hope we will become good friends!!!
Aggeliki
Young John was born in Newcastle. He is 21 years old and he lives in a house near Bangor. He likes juggling and every day he teaches us something new about diabolo, juggling balls and clubs. He likes pepperoni pizza and he speaks a little greek (like: ti kaneis? kala). John is a very good guy and I hope to see him again next year! He always helps us with the games and he is very very funny, especially when he speaks greek.
Loukia
Sophia lives in Greece, in Thessaloniki city, she is 15 years old, likes rock music, heavy metal music. She has an aquarium with fish-killers who killed all her other fish. She plays the piano and doesn´t have any brothers or sisters. I think she is a nice person because she is kind, smiley, funny and talented.
Lisa
Well, Fernando is a very cool boy! 13 years old and he´s from Spain! I first met him a few days ago but I think that he is a really interesting boy. Also, he is very outgoing and has the sense of humor. I know that it´s his first time in Belfast. I don´t know him very well but he´s very kind! He likes chocolate, especially cola cao. He has a brother, a dog, dad and mum. He plays good table tennis and he can do unicycle. He wears a nice green bracelet! What else... hm... I would like to be friends with him!
Gogo
About Lisa. One of the most beautiful thing here in Ireland is that you can meet new people, new friends. So, one of my new friends here is Lisa who is from Russia and I think she is a very good girl with a very good character. She is always on time and seems to be very serious and mature. I hope I will meet her again.
Lida
Loukia is a good person and she speaks english very well. Loukia is always happy and patient. She plays the piano and she loves her friends. Loukia lives in Greece and she is 15 years old. She has got one brother and one sister. I like her.

Sophia
Lydia... ahhh Lydia, Lydia, Lydia... What can I say about Lydia??? Lydia is a big ball of fun and talent. When she plays the piano, her fingers magically dancing across the keys, even the furniture begins to tap their feet. I´ve never seen someone pretend to be in a straight jacket like Lydia... I wonder if she has had some practice. Lydia might seem to be quiet but when she steps out in front of her peers she´s pure dynamite! Remember her name... Remember... Remember... One day you might see it in lights!!!
Big John
Alba is a very good person. She´s very active and funny. I met her at the airport. She has got a brother who is n Belfast with us too. She has got two pets. A cat, Santo and a dog, Roi. The dog is very small and I don´t know anything about the cat. She is n first of E.S.O. and her brother in the sixth of primary. She is a very lovely person!!!
Carlos
Sophia is a very sweet person and I´m impressed with how relaxed and cool she is. She´s very funny and she seems to have a great time and when I´m with her I have the feeling that I know her for a long time!

Jim checked his luggage. Everything was ok. His passport was ready, and all was perfect. ten minutes later he could feel the aeroplane taking off. It was a one hour flight from NY to Washington, nothing special. So he switched on his Mp3 and layed down to enjoy the flight. Suddenly he looked around and everyone was screaming, the aroplane was loosing hight and his ears were hurting. He unfastened his seat belt and run towards the captain cabine but it was too hard as the plane was shaking. He fell down and hitted his head on a seat, he just died a bit earlier than the others.

It was the 1st of January and woke up, I brushed my teeth and went to the kitchen in order to have my breakfast. When I was eating I saw my mother´s book and I started to read it. It was really difficult to read because it was in English and it was Shakespeare´s. Then, when I finished my breakfast I went to teh living room and I saw a present under the christmas tree. there was a card on it and there was something written on it. It said " for Lydia" so I opened it and it was an electric guitar!! I was really happy so I run to my mum´s and my dad´s bedroom and i gave them a big hug!

It was a dark night in Montecarlo, the man at the Casino was sweating. He had bet his last coin and if he didn´t win, he would have been ruined. He almost cried when he thought what would happen. His wife would leave him and he surely would kill himself in a dark lane. Then he threw the dice and won. He sang and danced and kept the dice forever and his last coin. luck smiled that day.

Two years ag I was with my band in our airplane cause we were planning to give a show in Finland. There were five of us in the crew. In the beginning it seemed very quiet, like any other trip. But suddenly the plane began to loose hight and after a few minutes we crushed down in the sea. I managed to survive but the others disappeared forever.

Yesterday I went shopping with my friends ata the centre of the city. We found the best shop selling jewellry and we had a look around. the items were extremelly expensive. there were necklaces covered with diamonds and other valuable stones and golden rings everywhere... I did not buy anything because I did not find anything I liked but one of my friends bought a bracelet which costed 150 pounds! It was very beautiful but i would never spend such a big amount of money on a bracelet.

There we have the story of a Russian author about a woman who bought a lovely bracelet which changed her life. That was a bracelet of a certain style which she did not like for some time. Then she decided to buy a neckglace of the same style, then she bought new clothes. She also changed all her furniture in her house, began to read other books, stopped playing the guitar. Finally her character changed and her husband left her. So the story is about things, which sometimes make us forget who we really are.

I don´t know exactly what to write about my special item. But I´ll talk about this book with my paintings. this is vey important to me cause on those papers I write about my feelings and thoughts. When I am sad I paint and that helps me a lot.
